What to evaluate

Scan a print, inspect the crop against its original, attach its back and record a story. Then name the people, enter a birthday or life event, apply a remembered age, and inspect the supported date range. Review a full day before exporting and compare the image metadata with the selected date.

For a fair comparison, use the same printed photos and lighting in each app. Check edge detection, readability of back text, original preservation, uncertain date handling and the ability to reuse an exported archive. Our Photomyne comparison distinguishes published features and payment options; it is not an independent scan-quality test.

Sample archive and screenshots

Download the fictional 18-photo archive (18.3 MiB). On the home screen, choose Import and select this ZIP. It contains fictional people and life events, so the dating workflow can be explored without supplying a personal family archive or an external account.

Download three full-resolution app screenshots, or view the two worked examples with captions. These are actual Android emulator captures from version 1.0.0 (95), with generated fictional family photos. They are not testimonials or proof of camera scan quality. Please retain that context when using them.
